Cookies Policy

Last updated: 13 May 2026

This Cookies Policy explains how the Neuron Security website uses cookies and similar local storage technologies. We have deliberately kept the use of cookies on this Site to the absolute minimum, in line with our values around privacy and operational simplicity.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Browser local storage is a similar mechanism that allows a website to retain small amounts of information between visits. Both are commonly used to remember preferences, maintain login sessions, measure traffic, or deliver advertising.

2. What this Site uses

This Site uses only strictly necessary local storage to remember your choice about cookie consent, so that the consent banner does not reappear on every page load.

We do not use:

  • Analytics cookies (we currently use no analytics platform on this Site)
  • Advertising or retargeting cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Third-party trackers of any kind

3. Strictly necessary cookies and storage

The single item of local storage that this Site sets is described below.

Name: neuron-cookie-consent

Purpose: Records whether you have acknowledged or dismissed our cookie consent banner.

Duration: Persistent (until you clear browser storage).

Type: Local storage, first-party only.

4. Your choices

Because we only use strictly necessary local storage, no consent is required under GDPR or Portuguese law to set it. However, you may clear it at any time using your browser settings:

  • In Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data
  • In Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • In Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • In Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data

Clearing this storage will cause the cookie consent banner to reappear on your next visit.

5. If this changes in the future

If we introduce analytics, performance measurement, or any other category of cookies in the future, we will update this policy and provide a proper opt-in consent mechanism in line with GDPR and the Portuguese ePrivacy rules. We will never enable non-essential cookies retroactively without explicit consent.

6. Third-party services

When you submit a message through our contact form, the request is processed through our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and our email delivery service (Resend). These providers may set their own technical cookies or use local storage during the request, strictly for the operation of the underlying service. We do not control those mechanisms beyond the contractual data-processing terms we have with each provider.

7. Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revision was made.
